6) ServiceShop saves both time and money
when training new people - Both ServiceShop and QuickBooks are
much easier for new employees to learn (they typically reject
Senior Service Manager immediately because of it's classically
old "Blue Screen of Death" appearance). Only the Senior Service
Manager tunnel vision die-hards continue to prefer this look and
feel. Prospective hires will be more interested in working for
you when they see the new system; by contrast, they are
generally disenchanted by any character-based (DOS or
Unix-looking) system. Nobody likes the monochrome look anymore;
it needs to go away. If you're bringing in anyone new at the
service desk, it is a tremendous waste of time to train them on
Senior Service Manager. We have had many situations where this
exact situation was avoided by synchronizing new system
deployment with new hires. Just as GenesisFour had to STOP
RE-INVESTING IN ITS OLD TECHNOLOGY (because it was, from a
market potential point of view, dead in the water), so should
you. In this regard, the sooner you migrate to ServiceShop, the
better.
