ServiceShop System Requirements Summary for SSM Users
This is a summary of system requirements specifically written
for Senior Service Manager users.

Windows-Based TCP/IP Network
Server must be running Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows XP,
Windows Server2003, or
Windows Server2008 (no Unix)
Client PCs must be running Windows 2000 Pro or better clients (no
Windows 95, Windows 98, no dumb terminals)
Printers must be Windows-compatible laser, LED, or inkjet
printers (no dot matrix)
SSM cash drawers are generally compatible, although a different
cable may be required
Hardware Exclusions
ServiceShop does not run on Unix or Windows 95
Bar Code readers from Unix systems will not work with
ServiceShop
Some inkjet printers may require experimentation with alternate
drivers
Required Software
ServiceShop
QuickBooks 2001 Basic or better (to do G/L, A/P, & Banking; also
does Payroll)
Word 2003 or better (to do mailings, e.g., what EZ-Mail in SSM
does)
