ServiceShop's label printing feature
prints three types of labels as follows:
1) Customer Labels (yellow icon in the
Customer Editor - looks like labels.. more or less)
- ServiceShop supports a
reasonable degree of configurability in terms of what is
actually printed on the label.
- Prints individual customer
labels only (e.g., pick a customer, print a label for
that customer).
- Does not print batch labels for
mailings, which ServiceShop supports via MS Word's Mail

2) Parts Labels (same yellow icon - in the Maintain Inventory
window) - with or without bar codes
- ServiceShop supports a reasonable degree of
configurability in terms of what is actually printed on the
label.
- Prints labels for parts, or parts bins, with or without
bar codes
- If you want to do bar coding with
ServiceShop, you need
this printer
- Prints parts labels for individual parts from within
the Maintain Inventory window
- Prints parts labels for all parts on a P.O. (either one
label per part #, or label quantity matches order quantity)
3) Vendor Labels (same yellow icon - on the Vendor Desktop)
- ServiceShop supports a reasonable degree of
configurability in terms of what is actually printed on the
label.
- Prints individual vendor labels only (e.g., pick a
vendor, print a label for that vendor).
The Label Printer
- The printer is a small, USB desktop thermal label printer
from Dymo, which comes with label printing software that
ServiceShop integrates with in order to work. You can see a
picture of an example of this printer if you click on the
yellow label-printing icon anywhere within ServiceShop that
this icon appears, assuming no one has ever installed.
- The Dymo label printer supports many different label
formats provided by Dymo and widely available. We
typically supply 2 label formats with the printer -
address labels and shipping labels.
- This printer can be connected via its USB cable to any PC
on your network and shared, so you can print labels to it
from any PC on your network.
- (Note that this printer does not support printing to
static cling labels, such as those used for oil change
window stickers. Check Lube
Sticker Printer Kit.)
The Label Printing Software
- The Dymo label printing software comes with the printer.
- It must be installed on each PC you wish to print labels
from.
- It can be used standalone and has extensive features for
label printing design.
- When ServiceShop integrates with it, it happens
automatically (you don't have to separately launch it to
print labels from within ServiceShop).

- (2) rolls Customer Labels (700 labels total) 1-1/8" x
3-1/2"
- (1) roll of Shipping Labels (Qty 300) 2-5/16" x 4"
